Bamboo trunks

We came across this beautiful lichen covered bamboo while out gathering plants and food in the mountains behind our house in Namasia. I had wanted to make this post a bit informative and identify this bamboo, but I started looking on-line and they all looked pretty similar. My wife told me it was 孟宗竹 (Phyllostachys) but I think it more resembles Bambusa oldhamii, commonly giant timber bamboo or Oldham’s bamboo which originates in Taiwan. A project for another day.
