Native Beauty — Taiwan’s Aboriginals — Discover Magazine
My photos, mostly of Namasia, accompanied Steven Crook’s article for Thai Air’s inflight magazine Discover. The above photo was taken a stone’s throw from our house in Takanua, Namasia. Eight Eight Waterfall, a waterfall created by a landslide during Typhoon Morakot in 2008, is obscured by mist.
This photo of a Hla’alua headman is one of my more published photos. It was on the cover of Bradt Taiwan Guidebook first edition.
The photo with the bananas was taken at the Kanakanavu Mikong festival several years ago, the little girl is my niece, Maidal, and the photo below it (above) is the roof of my brother-in-law’s house.
The photo of the Bunun newlyweds below is my recently wed nephew, Landun.
Beautiful shots as always!
Thanks, Joshua! Sad to see you leaving Taiwan.
