Yoga in Taipei
Yoga in Liberty Square
This photo in front of the National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall was taken on a recent shoot in Taipei. It was a great day, I love shooting accomplished athletes. Rather than dragging the shutter and having blur and strange halo — like the shot below — I shot an HDR (seven shot stacked) of the memorial, then I brought Helen into the frame and lit her with some speed-lights. I later stitched her into the HDR photo without the lights in the frame.
Sadly, I didn’t have as much time as I would have liked for the shoot but we still managed to get a nice variety of shots. Here is a quick shot in an MRT station. She was an amazing sport (would you pose in an MRT station?) and if I had taken the time to light the photo and wait for a moving train and crowds it would have been a stunner. We took this as I was rushing for the last HSR south, which I missed leaving me with a four hour overnight bus ride home!
more pics from the day TK…
Rich, great job! Thanks for coming to Taipei. Ops, just noted that you missed the train .Next time we should make in the morning to shoot photos. One hand we can have more time, another hand you would not miss the train!
